Field Drains also known as Land Drains
Excess surface water which gathers in your garden or lawn during adverse weather conditions and torrential rain indicates a problem – poor draining ground, clay soil conditions, faulty drainage installations, displaced pipe joints or tree root infestation. Surface ground water should dissipate naturally and not be evident even in summer months – do you have this concern – do you have flooding on your within your property or boundaries – Call Drain Klear on 01292 281253
- Our Engineers can trace and locate damaged or missing field drains, then provide a written report complete with recommendations and costings to suit your budget and requirements.
- We can design and install a drainage system that will alleviate these concerns.
- Our trained Engineers can excavate by hand or by mechanical means with mini-excavators a trench system and install a perforated pipe bedded on pea gravel which is infilled with the previously set aside topsoil then completed with original or new turf replacement. The area of work will then reinvigorate and return to normal.
- Landscaping can also be provided on site if required.
Soakaway Systems
These are a type of infiltration device – they disperse surface water in locations where it is not practical to make a connection to a sewer.
- Some soakaways in older properties are often hand dug, small sumps infilled with rubble or gravel.
- A modern soakaway is a purpose made prefabricated chamber which we can install.
These systems correctly installed should not require any maintenance but occasionally they can cause a problem if there is a silt build up. Do you require the silt removed from the soakaway located within your property – call Team DK on 01292 281253 and we will arrange for our Engineer to call and advise you on the appropriate course of action. We will carry out this work timeously and efficiently.
